Gender equality in Norway

This topic covers two competence aims that sit close together, but deal with two different things.

What's covered

Equality and participation. Women's participation in working life, education and politics, and what this means for society and for a family's economy.

Where the line is drawn. Negative social control, violence in close relationships, forced marriage and female genital mutilation. This aim is worth over 5 percent of the test, so it's among the heavier ones.

Why the second part carries weight

Because it's about law, not attitudes. These are criminal matters, and the questions ask what's illegal and where you can get help. It's practical knowledge, not a matter of opinion.
