Is there a PDF with example questions for the tests?
There is no official PDF with a set of example questions for the samfunnskunnskapsprøven (social studies test) or statsborgerprøven (Norwegian citizenship test). People look for this all the time, and the reason it doesn't exist is worth understanding.
Why it doesn't exist
The questions are drawn from a question bank that gets reused. If HK-dir published a set of real questions as a PDF, those questions would be burned: the test would then measure who had read the PDF, not who knows the material. Four new questions are trialled in every sitting precisely to keep the bank alive.
Why you wouldn't want one anyway
The test is digital and takes a maximum of 60 minutes. What you need to practise isn't just the answer, but reading a question with three options and deciding within a reasonable time. A PDF with an answer key at the back doesn't train that. You flick to the answer key, recognise the answer, and think you know it.
A practice exam that draws new questions every time does the opposite: it reveals what you actually know when you haven't seen the question before.
